About
Tina Mariani
Someone recently asked me what got me into writing, and it made me stop and really think. The answer has always felt obvious to me, but how do you actually say it?
I’ve always been a writer, the girl with too many journals to count. In high school, I’d even get in trouble for turning my planner into a diary. I’d pass notes to my friends written like mini chapters. One day, my best friend looked at me and said, “You need to write a book. Your life is wild.”
That dream stuck with me.
Eventually, I built a career on social media (hello, TikTok), and I even wrote a book once teaching people how I did it. But everything truly changed when my friend Stephy Lynn told me to read a book she loved. That one book led me down the rabbit hole of BookTok, and suddenly I was living, breathing, eating, and reviewing books. It made sense — my background in marketing, storytelling, and business made it easy to slip into that world.
Then I watched a girl online who simply wanted to write one book. She didn’t know if it would go anywhere. She wasn’t doing it for fame. She just loved it. That inspired me.
So I pulled out my dusty journals, scribbled down an outline, and started typing. First Love, Last Betrayal practically poured out of me. Now the editing part? Absolutely not my favorite. I know there are mistakes in that first book. But I’m hoping I sell enough copies that I can finally afford a professional editor for the rest of the series.
Ps, Thank you to all my beta readers who helped me with a lot of it. Also huge shout to the facebook groups I am in that helped me with sentence structure and learning how to word things differently when I was stuck!
Book two (not released yet) has been a bit harder — more emotional, more complicated, and it made me realize I might end up turning it into two books. Some readers love thick books. Others love devouring shorter ones. So who knows… maybe I’m already working on book three.
FYI, my social media updates run a little behind real life. So if you’re seeing posts about book 2, that means it’s already done on my end. I stay a few steps ahead offline and choose to keep my online timeline slightly delayed (for my own reasons).
I have a dream. It started small, like most do. But I’ve learned something along the way — if your dreams don’t scare you, they aren’t big enough.
I’m married to the man of my dreams. He is truly everything I ever prayed for and more. We have a beautiful daughter who brings so much light into our lives. We’re hoping to give her a sibling one day, but infertility has been a tough road.
I also have a head full of ideas for so many more books once the Heartbreak & Heat series wraps. Thank you for being here and I hope you’ll stick around and follow this wild journey with me.
As always, Love you, bye.
